Beasts: A creature that is magical but isn’t smart enough to understand laws that the magical world has, so it can’t help create these laws. 
Favourite Beast: Centaur. They are strong and protective and are also really good at Divination. They’re very proud creatures too.. and very loyal to other centaurs. They also really value nature. I really identify with this idea of being proud of my family and willing to stand up and fight for them, so that’s why I chose them as my favourite creature. 


Beings: A creature that is magical and that lives in the world of wizards and witches. They are smart enough to understand magical laws, and they try really hard to help create them. 

Favourite Being: House Elves. These beings help to serve witches and wizards and they are also really loyal to the family that owns them. The whole slave thing is wrong, but they do their best at working hard and serving others. I chose this being because they’re super loyal and also I like that their whole mission in live is to serve others. I think that’s something we should all try to do! 


Spirits: Creatures that have existed in the past but now have died and are still roaming around the earth. 

Favourite Spirit: animal ghosts… They’re so cool looking and they are the spirit of an animal that has past on. They have some sort of magical abilities probably, but no one really knows for sure. I just like the idea that if my pet passes on, they could still be with me in some form. That’s why I chose this to be my favourite Spirit.

Introduction: Ben Coletti

B ackstory Ben was born in Hogsmeade to Marcus and Tanya Coletti. Both were magical and taught their son all about the wizarding world as he grew up, preparing him for Hogwarts. Ben became very interested in potions and charms at this age already, watching his father work as an Auror and his mother worked as a healer. His first showing of magic was when he was six years old. He had been at a park with some friends and his best friend was being bullied by some older kids. Ben became very angry and upset and all of a sudden dirt and leaves flew up from the ground and covered the bully so that he was messy all over. It didn't hurt him, but it definitely annoyed him! Everyone was stunned and realized that Ben had the potential to be a great wizard.   Ben was about 9 when his father killed his mother. Defence Against the Dark Arts - Practicing Riddikulus

Before class, I found Shaun (a sixth year Gryffindor) and a fourth year Ravenclaw talking in the staircase. We were talking about previous Dark Arts classes, and how we never really knew what to expect. When it was time to get to class, Shaun and I realized that we didn't have our hats or our robes, so we ran up to the seventh floor, headed to our dorms and got what we needed, then raced to the third floor and up the Dark Arts tower. We arrived just on time and were quite proud of ourselves as the door locked behind us.  Tonight, we were told that we would be practicing the Riddikulus charm. This was a charm that would be used against boggarts. I was a little nervous, but joined the line on the left side of the room, my wand held out. I knew the wand movement and the effect it was supposed to have, but I hadn't practiced it ever, and knew that it was a third level spell.
